I'm (Paul Wordsmith), I'm 25 years old and I live
in Chambéry. I'm studying for a BTS in 'Informatique de Gestion'
(computer studies) It is a sandwich course which involves both a work
placement and study. I'm working for IBM and I'm studying at ECORIS in
Chambéry. |

Do you have any interests or hobbies ? |

I play badminton once a week and I go snowboarding
in the winter. |

Where do you work ? |
|
I work for Highwave Optical Technologies. Highwave's headquarters and main
manufacturing |

What does your company do ? |
|
It produces optical, mechanical, and electronic solutions |

What are you responsibilities ? |
|
I look after the network, resolve software
and hardware problems and help colleagues if they have any queries. |

Do you like working for Highwave ? |
|
I like the variety of the work, and there is a
good team spirit. |

Would you like to continue working with this company after your BTS ? |
|
Yes I would, If I was offered a full time
position. This seems unlikely to their recent financial difficulties so
I’m looking for a full time job in order to increase my experience. |

What would you like to do in the future ? |
|
I’d like to continue to work in the field of
computing, and maybe become a IT Manager with a large organisation. This
would involve taking responsibility for the maintenance of servers and the
installation of the new software and for staffing a help-desk and a
support group. |

I don’t like routine, repairing the same old
printer problem or helping people who don’t know anything about

I like taking responsibility and like working in a
team. I’m also quite ambitious and demand a lot from myself and others. |
